Bath Townhouse
This dual-scale project focused on capturing the essence and functionality of a Georgian Bath townhouse, serving as both a planning and presentation tool for the client. The 1:100 scale model featured a sectional design, showcasing not only the intricate facade but also the interior layout. The inclusion of two interchangeable basement extension options at the rear allowed the model to effectively illustrate design flexibility. This was critical in helping stakeholders, including planning authorities, visualize the proposed changes and understand the project’s impact on the existing structure and surrounding area.
The 1:50 scale model was created as a facade-only representation, emphasizing the townhouse's iconic Georgian architecture. This version was crafted as a commemorative piece for the client, symbolizing the project’s significance. These models helped the client by simplifying complex architectural plans into a tangible, visually compelling format, enabling clear communication with planning committees and instilling confidence during client discussions. For a property with historical significance like this, the models provided a bridge between traditional craftsmanship and modern design goals, ensuring all stakeholders could fully appreciate the project's vision.
